Blue Marlin Brewing of Suzhou, China, recruited me as part of a team tasked with creating a fresh look for its new line of craft beers. Through illustration and pattern the packaging designs showcased the local origins of the drinks range and re-enforced its central theme – Suzhou’s landmarks and architectural and cultural features.
Working with a pre-existing logo/brand, the overall colour scheme was planned to provide visibility and differentiation on the shelf while still appearing harmonious as a group. Illustrations were provided by Vancouver artist Emma Badia.
